Following on from his recent tournament success at ADCC London and the No-Gi English open, Craig won the No-Gi gold today beating three opponents to win the belt. In the Gi he lost the final to a Pedro Bess team mate to claim silver.
On March 13th, Head instructor, Craig Ewers, competed in the English Open No-Gi tournament in Dartford. After defeating two opponents, the first via points and the second via submission Craig won his division.
This was Craig’s first tournament at black belt and it couldn’t have got off to a better start.

Congratulations to Eoghan O’Flanagan who won gold in the purple belt middleweight division today at the Bristol Open and James Kedra who won bronze in the blue belt lightweight division.
Special mention to Chris Grubb who lost his first match at white belt, but left everything on the mat.

At the Pedro Bessa Winter Grading at the Welsh Instutute of Sport, Matt Vassak was awarded his well deserved Purple Belt after several years at Blue Belt.
A big congratulations to Ken Harris who was also promoted to Blue Belt today.
Both belts were awarded by head instructor, Pedro Bessa.
Well done both.
On Sunday 15th November, the 4th Pedro Bessa Interclub competition took place at the Welsh Institute of Sport in Cardiff. Several members of the team attended and came away with medals after some very good performances. Results as follows;
