Cardiff Judo and BJJ (now the Craig Ewers Academy) club was started by Craig Ewers and Rory Quarrier in 2012 as an affiliate club in the Pedro Bessa Brazilian Jiu Jitsu association, with the aim of providing first class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo tuition in Cardiff. With Craig’s extensive background in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo and Rory’s accomplishments in the UK Brazilian Jiu Jitsu scene, the two felt that they could offer something different to the people of Cardiff and set about forming what is now Cardiff Judo and BJJ. After Rory decided that the Brazilian lifestyle calling him back was too good to resist in early 2013, Craig set about continuing the running of the club with the help of a number of accomplished purple belts and has continued to provide quality instruction on a weekly basis.
This quality of tuition has led to the team picking up numerous medals in local competitions, as well as bigger tournaments such as the British Open. Craig and his assistant coaches continue to strive for the very best from their students and provide quality teaching which has been proven to produce results. The classes taught at Cardiff Judo and BJJ are suitable for anyone irregardless of age, shape, sex or fitness level and are guaranteed to improve not only your fitness but your confidence too.
